Fluid is a neat little diversion of an app. All it shows is a view from above of water over rocks. The rocks in this case are the out of the ground kind and not the scotch on the, or and roll kind. Just wipe your finger on the screen to make the water react very much like it should. It doesn’t react to the movement of your iphone/touch but this way you can use it at any angle without all the water pouring out.

For what it is, Fluid is very cool, just to show what the iphone/touch can do. I would like to be able to change backgrounds and maybe use my own pictures. If you look at the second screenshot you’ll see that the ripples seem to go out in a rectangle rather than a circle until hitting the edges. But that’s more of an observation than a complaint.

So play around in the water with your fingers, or whatever you want to use, and you wont get wet. It’s kind of zen if that’s your thing and if it’s not your thing it beats a poke in the eye with a sharp rock. If you don’t believe me, ask someone that’s been poked in the eye with a rock, sharp, dull or otherwise.

I’m not grading it, because it’s just something to look at and get rid of, when you need room for something you’ll actually use.

Update: An update was put out that includes the option to switch backgrounds from your saved pictures and “improved” water effects. Also, there is a music track that you can turn off or on to add to the zen like atmosphere. I notice a dry or dead area in the top right corner, the water doesn’t seem to reach, let me know if you do as well. Some pictures won’t work right and they say they are working on it. Overall an improvement.
