Some games were just plain made for the ipod touch/iphone and GravBall is one of those games that wouldn’t work nearly as well anywhere else. There are many table top tilting games with the objective of steering a ball by tilting the device. This one however has guided missiles, and that means the rest of those games, should crawl off and die in shame. You’re not just bouncing off walls on your way to the end of a maze, because first off some of the walls will kill you dead, and some move, or both. You get to start off with the easy stuff to learn whats what but soon you encounter…..bum bum bummmm…Lasers!! Ah but how do you turn off lasers? With buttons of course. Roll across the button to shut down the laser and dodge the moving walls of death all while being chased by guided missiles. There are no “lives” to count which is good because you will die many, many times on many levels and sometimes you’ll slide right on through without a scratch. The graphics are simple and I like that they don’t try to look like a slick or high tech mess that would slow down the iphone/touch. The next version will change the graphics though, so we’ll have to wait and see if that’s a good thing, or not.

GravBall includes Fifty levels, but since there isn’t only one way through each level, you can replay them over and over. The price as I write this is Free but was 99 cents and may go back up for the new version when it’s released.

Conclusion: Get it now while its free and cross your fingers that the next version is even better.

I give GravBall 5 out of 5 usb missile launchers.
